Position Summary

The Operations Manager is tasked with spearheading a production team and overseeing all facets of a dynamic dry mix packaging manufacturing facility. Key responsibilities encompass monitoring essential performance metrics, managing budgets, ensuring safety protocols, optimizing production flow, and controlling material costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct the manufacturing processes within the organization.
  • Plan and manage the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly techniques, and workforce utilization.
  • Engage in the procurement of all necessary raw materials, supplies, and production requirements.
  • Ensure the maintenance of equipment and oversee the installation of new machinery.
  • Provide expert advice and services to enhance and maintain machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Evaluate performance management recommendations for production staff.
  • Analyze production reports and profit-loss statements to discuss outcomes.
  • Lead and guide the efforts of team members.
  • Enforce adherence to all OSHA regulations, ensuring safe and secure operations at all locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a multi-site production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Prior project management experience is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
