Position Summary
The Operations Manager is tasked with steering a production team and overseeing all facets of a dynamic dry mix packaging manufacturing facility. Key responsibilities encompass monitoring essential performance metrics, managing budgets, ensuring safety protocols, and optimizing production workflows and material expenditures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct the manufacturing processes within the organization.
- Plan and manage the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly techniques, and workforce utilization.
- Engage in the procurement of raw materials, supplies, and other production necessities.
- Supervise equipment maintenance and the installation of new machinery.
- Provide strategic advice and services to enhance machinery, equipment, and facility performance.
- Evaluate performance management recommendations for production staff.
- Analyze production reports and profit-loss statements to inform decision-making.
- Lead and guide team members effectively.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, maintaining a safe and secure operational environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a multi-site production or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Ability to interpret scientific and technical literature, financial documents, and legal materials.
- Project management experience is advantageous.
- Proficient in problem-solving, data collection, and analytical reasoning.
