Position Summary

The Operations Manager is tasked with steering a production team and overseeing all facets of a dynamic dry mix packaging manufacturing operation. Key responsibilities encompass monitoring critical performance indicators, managing budgets, ensuring safety protocols, and optimizing production flow and material expenditures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the manufacturing processes within the organization.
  • Plan and direct the arrangement of equipment, workflow, assembly techniques, and workforce utilization.
  • Engage in the procurement of essential raw materials and supplies for production.
  • Supervise the maintenance of existing equipment and the installation of new machinery.
  • Provide strategic advice and services to enhance machinery, equipment, and facility performance.
  • Evaluate performance management recommendations for production staff.
  • Analyze production reports and financial statements to inform decision-making.
  • Lead and guide team members effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, along with 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a multi-site production or manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret scientific and technical literature, financial documents, and legal materials.
  • Prior experience in project management is advantageous.
  • Proficient in problem-solving, data collection, and analytical reasoning.
