Role Summary:

The Electrical Operations Supervisor will oversee and guide the activities of electrical technicians, electricians, and apprentices within our facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance, upkeep, and enhancement of our electrical distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility's electrical distribution, alarm, and communication systems.
  • Lead and manage a skilled team of electrical professionals, ensuring they meet the service needs of production and the facility.
  • Develop staffing strategies and training initiatives to enhance team capabilities and support the apprenticeship program.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and efficiency of all internal and external contractors working on electrical projects.
  • Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities for the plant's electrical systems, optimizing workload and schedules.
  • Assess future electrical upgrades and maintenance needs, including financial implications.
  • Implement and manage a Preventive Maintenance Program, ensuring compliance with electrical requirements.
  • Engage in energy conservation and cost-saving initiatives, leading electrical projects within the facility.
  • Approve orders for maintenance and project materials, ensuring timely availability of necessary components.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop the annual budget and track performance against financial plans.
  • Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, conducting final inspections of complex installations.
  • Manage the annual power outage schedule, coordinating with both internal and external resources.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Business is preferred, with an Associate's Degree being a minimum requirement. Candidates should possess at least 5 years of experience with electrical distribution systems in a manufacturing environment, along with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role overseeing skilled electrical trades.
