Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join our team at the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical repairs, installation, and maintenance of traffic lights and highway illumination within District 2. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical repairs, installation, and maintenance of traffic lights and highway illumination
  • Work at heights in a bucket truck on highways and secondary roads
  • Perform high voltage repairs to highway lighting and traffic signals
  • Operate complex mechanical equipment
Requirements
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tank endorsement
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and circuitry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
