Job Description
The Training Operations Coordinator (TOC) plays a vital role in supporting the Army National Guard's (ARNG) Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates the Training Center operations, including managing daily schedules and liaising with military units to optimize the use of training resources.
- Oversees warehouse functions, including processing transactions, managing incoming shipments, and ensuring accountability for TADSS equipment.
- Conducts thorough inspections and prepares equipment for distribution, while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Utilizes the Training Support-Material Army-wide Tracking System (TS-MATS) for tracking and managing training materials.
- Generates reports and documentation using RFMSS and Microsoft Office to support operational needs.
- Ensures compliance with safety protocols and actively participates in safety discussions.
- Provides guidance and technical support to instructors to enhance their teaching effectiveness.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in all assigned areas, participating in regular maintenance activities.
- Prepares for training sessions by ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are ready and functional.
- Assists in the development and revision of training programs to ensure they meet current standards and regulations.
- Delivers technical instruction and evaluates student performance, providing additional support as needed.
- Operates and maintains training devices and simulators, ensuring they are ready for use.
- Supports unit trainers in developing comprehensive training plans for personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Prior military experience is preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in training support operations.
- A valid Driver's License is necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in instructional roles or as part of a training cadre.
- Understanding of military protocols and chain of command.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships.
- Professional demeanor and attitude are essential.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Willingness to work on weekends as required.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Military Operations, Training Development, or Combat Development is advantageous.
