Key Responsibilities:

A typical day may involve:

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in BioServices (biorepository) and logistics.
  • Managing client expectations by collaborating with colleagues from Client Services, Subject Matter Experts, and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) Members to foster integrated relationships.
  • Tracking activities and reporting progress consistently using CRM systems. Evaluating performance against objectives with sales leadership and proposing alternative strategies as needed.
  • Overseeing the process of acquiring new business, which may include leading bid defense meetings, discussing quotes, and managing contracts. This role is accountable for achieving new business targets.
  • Understanding the outsourcing strategies of assigned clients and developing short, medium, and long-term plans to maximize opportunities for providing clinical trial supply services. This includes prioritizing accounts, identifying decision-makers, and utilizing sales tools effectively.
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets for assigned accounts and/or territories.
  • Adhering to company policies and standard operating procedures, and making recommendations for enhancing efficiency where applicable.
  • Engaging in required training and development opportunities.
  • Performing other sales-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • BSc/BA or equivalent in business or a scientific discipline.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in the life sciences sector, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology (particularly cell and gene therapy), clinical supply chain, cold storage, or transportation.
  • Experience related to clinical projects and/or sales is a distinct advantage, preferably including clinical protocol development and/or CRO sales.
  • Familiarity with clinical trials and/or supply chain management is preferred.
  • Experience in sales or account management.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong teamwork skills, particularly in a matrix management environment. Ability to influence across functions and locations to achieve objectives.
  • Proficiency with software tools for internal and external communication, including the Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Exceptional sales, communication, and presentation skills. Capable of understanding client needs and articulating appropriate solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with keen analytical skills. Capable of identifying and addressing issues effectively.
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, capable of working independently while knowing when to seek support from colleagues and management.
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time.
