Overview:

The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is in search of a dedicated and proficient Research Laboratory Technician to become a vital member of our innovative team. The ideal candidate will significantly contribute to ongoing research projects within the realm of plastic and reconstructive surgery, focusing on diverse areas such as keloid biology, burn wound recovery, and muscular dystrophies. The research encompasses investigating mechanisms and assessing various regenerative therapies aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.

This role involves close collaboration with the research team, engaging in experimental procedures, and ensuring the efficient functioning of the laboratory. The position emphasizes laboratory activities that advance these objectives through cellular models, sequencing of patient and animal samples, and the analysis of therapeutic agents.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment Proficiency with cellular models, sample processing, sequencing, animal models, cardiac function, and muscle physiology Ability to work independently in a laboratory setting Proven experience in fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or a commitment to doing so as a staff member Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with cell culture, PCR, and protein analysis Experience in a collaborative research setting Knowledge of IACUC submission processes Additional Information:

This position is classified as a restricted role with no predetermined end date, and continued employment is contingent upon project requirements, funding availability, and performance evaluations.
