The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Business Director Hospital Medicine to join our team. This is a leadership role that requires a strong background in healthcare financial management and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Network Department Chair/Health Care Service (HCS) leader to support fiscally responsible and high-quality operations.
- Provide administrative support for the HCS physician leader and physicians across the UVM Health Network.
- Manage professional contracts, salaries, and other services for the physicians.
- Prepare and manage professional and Larner College of Medicine (LCOM) finances and budgets, including external contracts for Emergency Medicine services.
- Oversight and administrative support for research, grants, and education.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field required.
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or Health Care Administration or a related area preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in a healthcare financial management setting, preferably in an academic physician practice.
