Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Administrator to join our team at the University of Vermont. The successful candidate will provide administrative support for the Vermont Child Health Improvement Program (VCHIP), including financial management, grant administration, and human resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide business administration for VCHIP, including financial management, grant administration, and human resources.
  • Develop and manage budgets, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial reports.
  • Collaborate with department administrators, assistant directors, and principal investigators to administer grant activities.
  • Serve as primary contact for internal and external financial related transactions, questions, and report development.
  • Provide financial and human resources information regarding UVM policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Two to four years of related experience.
  • Effective financial, management, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, manage multiple tasks, and anticipate program needs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience in administering budgets, managing personnel, and understanding grant/contract management and auditing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in higher education and grant-funded organizations.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft, UVM financial systems, and fund accounting.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range of $60,000-$70,000.
  • Hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere.
