Job Title: Real Estate Development Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Development Analyst to join our team at the School of Government. As a key member of our Development Finance Initiative (DFI), you will play a critical role in analyzing and developing real estate projects that drive economic growth and community development in North Carolina and beyond.

About the Role:

The Real Estate Development Analyst will be responsible for performing advanced data analysis, extracting insights from large datasets, and developing narratives about local market conditions and challenges. You will work closely with our project managers to develop strategies for attracting private investment and driving economic growth in our partner communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct sophisticated geospatial analysis using GIS and parcel data to identify trends and patterns in real estate development.
  • Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support real estate development projects.
  • Analyze demographic and market data to inform real estate development strategies.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project strategies.
  • Communicate complex analysis and findings to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and other materials.
Requirements:
  • Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent).
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of competency with GIS mapping and data analysis software.
  • Experience with data project management and data visualization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in community development, real estate, or related fields.
  • Master's degree in planning, geography, public administration, public policy, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience with financial modeling and data analysis software.
