Role Purpose

The Project Equipment Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the tracking of project equipment inventory and ensuring the availability of devices for field operations as required. This role also involves providing support to the field project team as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an inventory management system for project equipment (including phones, laptops, printers, charging devices, USB cables, etc.)
  • Assign unique identifiers to each piece of equipment
  • Conduct regular updates and audits of the equipment inventory
  • Coordinate the distribution and movement of devices during project deployments
  • Collaborate with State Coordinators to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Ensure quality checks and receipt of new equipment shipments, and coordinate repairs as required
  • Prepare and submit monthly inventory reports
  • Assist in supervising field activities
  • Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by the Project/Program Manager

Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 2 years with a Master's degree. Experience in the NGO sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with geospatial information systems (GIS) is preferred.
  • Strong report writing skills, along with proven leadership and people management abilities.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills and interpersonal communication.
  • Proficient in developing and managing inventory systems, with advanced computer proficiency.

Language Proficiency

  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Hausa is an asset.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business-related content.
  • Skilled in writing reports and business correspondence.
  • Effective in presenting information to diverse audiences.
