Position Overview

The Production Operations Leader will oversee their designated unit in formulating and implementing manufacturing strategies to meet collective goals across the facility.

This position will evaluate safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics while utilizing data to foster ongoing enhancement initiatives for their respective unit.

Moreover, the Production Operations Leader is accountable for achieving outcomes through efficiency improvements, aligning capacity with demand, managing workforce resources, and nurturing a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement strategies for safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives for the respective unit.
  • Promote a strong commitment to a culture of continuous improvement by actively embodying and communicating MasterBrand's Success Model: Enhance team performance, Embrace boldness, and Advocate for improvement.
  • Support MBCI's Zero Injury Mission through a demonstrated commitment to the Always Aware program, site-specific safety protocols, and targeted MBCI initiatives.
  • Establish, enhance, maintain, and report on KPI performance; utilize data to prioritize actions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction through strict adherence to product specifications, open communication, and timely follow-up.
  • Develop and manage the operational budget for the unit; ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance production methods, equipment efficiency, and product quality.
  • Recruit, manage, and continuously develop the leadership team, engineering, quality, and other support personnel to meet departmental and plant objectives.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards to supervisors and employees.
  • Analyze and resolve work-related issues, assisting production supervisors in addressing problems and complaints.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field required; advanced degree or professional manufacturing certifications preferred.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in a large manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in team building, change management, process optimization, and driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles; experience in the furniture industry is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, delegation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the General Manager.
