The Navigation Team

The Navigation Team is a dynamic group of experts dedicated to developing and optimizing advanced navigation systems for critical medical procedures. We leverage state-of-the-art technologies from other industries to solve our unique problems and advance healthcare.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Navigation Algorithm Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Navigation Team, you will be responsible for demonstrating technical expertise on software and hardware components under R&D as well as deployed in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and develop new algorithmic components for navigation within the human body.
  • Implement high-quality algorithmic and software modules in product software systems interfacing with other modules.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve software-related issues reported by both internal and external users.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of technical design, evaluation protocols, issue resolutions, and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including software developers and customer support, to escalate and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Investigate critical issues observed in the field and work with field service engineers to analyze new sites.
  • Gather internal and external feedback on software performance, user experience, and feature requests to improve future iterations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (MS, PhD) is preferred.
  • Minimum of five to eight years of industry experience in a relevant field.
  • Mastery of software development with C# and Python, along with an advanced understanding of mathematics and algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: geometric computer vision, sensor categorization, image and point cloud registration, deep learning for computer vision or medical image analysis, 3D graphics and rendering.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of solving complex technical challenges efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
