Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented Predictive Maintenance Algorithm Development Engineer with expertise in chemical process modeling or related fields such as oil and gas, food and beverage, or wastewater management. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to crafting innovative solutions that significantly enhance the reliability and maintenance strategies of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop physics-based models for industrial equipment typically utilized in process industries.
2. Create algorithms for real-time fault detection, diagnostics, and prognostics.
3. Validate models and algorithms using diverse data sources, including simulated, experimental, and customer data.
4. Oversee experimental lab tests, which includes defining test plans, determining data collection needs, and reporting results.
5. Document technical information and communicate findings to R&D teams, sales, marketing, management, and external stakeholders.
6. Assist in defining and delivering customer solutions, including instrumentation requirements and algorithm specifications.

Collaboration:
Work closely with software and hardware engineering teams to ensure effective deployment of algorithms in production environments. Engage with a diverse group of professionals, including modeling scientists, data scientists, and process industry executives.

Required Qualifications:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in an engineering discipline (mechanical or chemical engineering preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in predictive maintenance or condition monitoring algorithm development for process industries.
- Proficiency in chemical process modeling and optimization.
- Experience in computational physics applied to industrial equipment.
- Programming skills in Python, Matlab, or similar scientific computing languages.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in implementing production machine learning models.
- Familiarity with industry standards for process control equipment and maintenance.
- Knowledge of model-based reasoning and prognostics.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, demonstrated through research output.
