Portfolio Management Associate

At Choreo, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional financial planning services to our clients. As a Portfolio Management Associate, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update and maintain our trading systems, including Centralized Trading Platform models and strategies.
  • Oversee and take ownership of portfolio management and trading systems, including setup, and any client maintenance on all managed client trades within the Centralized Trading Platform.
  • Monitor client portfolios to ensure they are within target allocation and client cash targets are addressed.
  • Evaluate current client portfolios and become a liaison for advisors during onboarding and implementation of clients.
  • Document clients that may be out of tolerance, are going through implementation, or have other exceptions to manage.
  • Support the Chief Compliance Officer with providing SEC compliant and internal audit reports from trading.
  • Assist with gathering analysis/research on the firm's strategies and approved list.
  • Develop and supply advisors with collateral, including trade/implementation proposals, client strategies & asset location.
  • Help advisors with questions on trading systems and ability to troubleshoot/find solutions to portfolio needs including analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or other related concentration.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the financial industry with an emphasis on trading; portfolio/strategy management background is a plus.
  • Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with CRM software, cloud-based storage, Schwab Institutional, Fidelity, Smartleaf, and Black Diamond trading systems a plus.
  • Well-versed in asset location, tax loss harvesting, and other trading strategies.
  • Have or able to obtain Series 65 license within 120 days of start date.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with financial reporting, billing, and trading systems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
