Senior Investment Portfolio Manager

The role entails comprehensive financial evaluation, risk analysis, and credit structuring recommendations for clients and prospects in the Commercial Real Estate sector. This includes meticulous underwriting and effective credit and risk management, with a strong focus on compliance with credit policies and requirements, financial modeling, risk assessment, ongoing portfolio management, and client support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the due diligence and underwriting documentation for complex credit relationships, including preparation and presentation of credit proposals to decision-makers.
2. Ensure loan agreements align with approval documents, identifying and addressing potential issues in collaboration with Relationship Managers.
3. Analyze financial statements and projections, documenting client performance along with identified risks and mitigants for complex credits.
4. Oversee credit relationships and project performance, ensuring comprehensive portfolio management and awareness of industry trends.
5. Manage assigned portfolio by monitoring performance and identifying trends, ensuring compliance with all Credit Process Metrics.
6. Identify issues and ensure timely remediation.
7. Act as a primary contact for clients and internal stakeholders in managing the assigned portfolio, which may include site visits.
8. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams to maintain high execution standards.
9. Approve non-material borrower requests and loan modifications within established authority levels.
10. Mentor and coach junior team members, overseeing underwriting and deal processing activities.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business, or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of credit principles and the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
• Proven success in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred:
• Over 10 years of experience in portfolio management and client relations.
• Intermediate knowledge of ARGUS software and third-party real estate data sources.
• Completion of a commercial associate program or an MBA in a related field.
• Experience conducting compliance reviews of loan portfolios.
• Ability to assess and improve quality assurance processes.
