Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to contribute to our projects.

Role Responsibilities:
This position will involve supporting structural engineering tasks, project engineering, and other assigned duties under general supervision. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments of roofs, anchor bolts, and floor load calculations.
  • Developing and approving work packages and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Performing field walk downs and developing specifications.
  • Reviewing calculations, testing, and design/procedural reviews.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of field work.

The role requires adherence to applicable codes, standards, procedures, and criteria while executing a series of related engineering or project tasks.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience in nuclear engineering.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.).
- Due to contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Compensation:
The annual salary range for this position is $104,175 - $131,425, based on a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. Navarro considers the level of assigned duties and the candidate's qualifications when determining salary.
