Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of structural engineers to tackle diverse engineering challenges.
  • Interface with professionals from various engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Oversee and mentor junior project team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Participate in engineering projects for new nuclear facilities and enhancements to existing power plants.
Core Duties
  • Utilize your expertise in materials, structural analysis, and design principles for both structural steel and reinforced concrete.
  • Prepare and evaluate design calculations, develop specifications, and assist designers in producing detailed drawings.
  • Employ advanced computer software for structural analysis and design of steel frameworks, connections, concrete components, and foundations.
  • Travel may be required for client meetings, design reviews, and on-site construction coordination.
Work Arrangement

This position operates on a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance three days per week.

Qualifications

Note: This position does not offer sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S.

Essential qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in structural design and analysis, including AISC steel and ACI concrete standards.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS.
  • Familiarity with design codes and standards, including ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in the design and analysis of power plant or industrial structures.
  • On-site construction support experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $88,000 - $102,000
