About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team at Jim Ellis Buick GMC Mall of Georgia. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support throughout their vehicle ownership experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate Effectively: Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and technicians, ensuring that customer needs are understood and met.
  • Verify Warranty and Service Contract Coverage: Examine records and papers to determine warranty and service contract coverage, explaining provisions and exclusions to customers.
  • Develop Estimates: Cost materials, supplies, and labor to develop estimates, calculating customer payments, including deductibles.
  • Prepare Repair Orders: Describe symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required, obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into the service database system.
  • Communicate Additional Repair and Service Needs: Inform customers of additional repair and service needs based on vehicle inspection.
  • Administer Manufacturer Warranty: Confirm and administer manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.
  • Resolve Customer Concerns: Confirm and offer resolution to customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Consult on Service Specials: Consult with customers on applicable service specials and keep them informed on completion times and services expenses.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Authorized to Work in the US: Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Previous Service Advisor Experience: Previous Service Advisor experience is preferred.
  • CDK Experience: CDK experience is preferred.
  • Ability to Multi-Task: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Basic Mechanical Understanding: Basic mechanical understanding of a vehicle.
