Job Summary
The HR Business Partner will provide generalist management, oversight, and support to key HR functions, including compensation, employee relations, compliance, and/or international Human Resources. This role will manage select HR staff and systems and translate strategy into operational plans in key areas.
Responsibilities
- Translate strategy into objectives and establish and oversee the execution of short-term team goals and objectives in support of functional long-term strategies.
- Monitor and report regularly on metrics, relevant statistics, and activity reports to help continuously monitor and improve HR practices.
- Research and develop policies, procedures, and processes to ensure smooth operations that are supportive of Global Refuge staff and applicants.
- Ensure compliance with Global Refuge policies and procedures and with federal, state, local, and international laws.
- Manage and provide appropriate oversight and support to HR staff members.
- Conduct investigations of complex employee relations issues escalating issues for appropriate attention and resolution.
- Coordinate and conduct staff training related to policies, processes, and systems.
- Represent HR at leadership meetings.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field, and 10-15 years of progressive human resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You will also need to have a proven track record of achieving results through others, excellent analytic, oral, and written communication skills, and the capacity to handle confidential information with discretion and sensitivity.
Global Refuge offers a competitive salary in the range of $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and a generous paid time off policy.
