Position Overview

The Telecommunications Technician plays a crucial role in documenting, reporting, and coordinating projects to facilitate the integration of software and technological advancements related to telecommunications systems and their functionalities. This role involves diagnosing both minor and significant technical issues while providing expert knowledge for effective problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting of telecommunications systems.
  • Recommend viable solutions to technical challenges and communicate the status of ongoing initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of process enhancements involving telecommunications technologies.

Training Opportunities

On-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates.

Educational Requirements

  • Associates Degree in a technical discipline or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in telecommunications.

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient knowledge of Avaya or similar phone systems.
  • Understanding of telecom infrastructure.
  • Availability for on-call support and technical assistance.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage emergencies with composure.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong time management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with clinical and hospital operational processes.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation

Competitive pay rate of $29.96 per hour.
