About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families and children. As a Family Case Manager, you will be responsible for investigating reports of child abuse and neglect, assessing the level of risk to the child, and developing recommendations for disposition. You will also work with families to develop case plans and provide support to help them become more self-sufficient in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate reported incidents of child abuse and neglect, and develop recommendations for disposition.
  • Assess the level of risk to the child, and remove the child from the family as necessary.
  • Develop case plans with families to help them become more self-sufficient.
  • Provide support to families to help them access resources and services.
  • Testify and prepare reports for the community child protection team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the principles of social work. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with families and other stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in social work or a related field is required, as well as at least two years of experience in a related field.
