Job Title: Case Manager

At The Salvation Army Central Territory, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Manager to join our team. As a Case Manager, you will play a vital role in providing emergency transactional services to low-income applicants, assisting them in meeting their basic needs during a crisis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with applicants and assist with application processes
  • Assess needs for food, utilities, housing, shelter, emotional support, spiritual care, or other needs
  • Determine eligibility for resources and develop plans to address presenting problems
  • Provide information on resources and utilize a person-centered approach to educate applicants
  • Maintain working relationships with community agencies and coordinate services
  • Enhance personal knowledge and skill through regional and divisional educational forums
  • Use electronic database to enter, retrieve, and maintain accurate case records
  • Manage client service transactions and monitor fund balances
  • Fulfill ad hoc and periodic survey requests and provide information needed for reports to administration

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field
  • 1 or more years of applicant interview experience (desired)
  • Experience working with low-income populations (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and completion of Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment
  • Completion of Caseworker Certification Program within 120 days of employment
