Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnosing and addressing mechanical and electrical issues in equipment.
  • Conducting test drives and utilizing diagnostic tools to assess vehicle components and systems.
  • Inspecting essential systems such as brakes, steering, and wheel bearings to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilizing hydraulic jacks or hoists to elevate trucks, buses, and heavy machinery.
  • Specializing in the repair and troubleshooting of major components, including engines, transmissions, and differentials, as well as replacing assemblies and fuel system parts.
  • Communicating effectively with management to keep customers informed about necessary services and providing time estimates for additional repairs.
  • Performing warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in equipment repair and maintenance or completion of a trade school program.
  • Automotive experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Basic welding skills are preferred.
  • Strong collaborative skills are essential.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, squatting, and reaching.
  • Willingness to undergo a drug screening and background check.
  • A clean and valid driver's license is necessary.
