Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with equipment.
  • Conduct test drives and evaluate components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment.
  • Inspect braking systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize hydraulic jacks or hoists to elevate trucks, buses, and heavy machinery for maintenance.
  • Focus on the repair and troubleshooting of major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials, including the replacement of complete assemblies, turbochargers, and fuel system parts.
  • Communicate effectively with management to keep customers informed about any additional services required, providing estimates for further repairs.
  • Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in equipment repair and maintenance or graduation from a trade school is preferred.
  • Automotive experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Basic welding skills are a plus.
  • Strong collaborative skills are essential.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that require bending, squatting, and reaching.
  • Willingness to undergo a drug screening and background check.
  • A valid and clean driver's license is necessary.
