Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in equipment.
- Conduct test drives and evaluate vehicle components and systems using diagnostic tools.
- Inspect essential systems such as brakes, steering, and wheel bearings to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hydraulic jacks or hoists to elevate trucks, buses, and heavy machinery.
- Focus on the repair and troubleshooting of major components, including engines, transmissions, and differentials, which may involve replacing entire assemblies and related parts.
- Communicate with management to keep customers informed about necessary services and provide estimates for additional repairs.
- Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience in equipment repair or completion of a trade school program is preferred.
- Automotive experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Basic welding skills are a plus.
- Strong collaborative skills are essential.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform various physical tasks as required.
- Willingness to undergo drug screening and background checks.
- Must possess a valid and clean driver's license.
