Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Futures Consulting. As a key member of our Architecture & Engineering division, you will be responsible for independently performing various phases of design, including conceptual design to construction documents, engineering calculations, and project management.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs and projects on time. You will be a self-starter who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement design concepts, from conceptual design to construction documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform engineering calculations, HVAC load calculations, and HVAC system sizing & selection to ensure efficient and effective system design.
  • Conduct field visits to ensure project compliance and identify potential issues.
  • Develop punch lists for project closeouts and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT, with experience in design and development software.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex design issues and develop effective solutions.
