About the Role

The Client Manager will play a crucial part in supporting the day-to-day sales and research efforts across Consultant Relations. This role will partner with Consultant Relations Directors to position AllianceBernstein's products with the consultant community, seek research meetings, respond to requests, and service/commercialize existing investment ratings alongside sales partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Consultant Relations Directors: Assist in building and deepening relationships with institutional investment consultants.
  • Deliver High-Quality Service: Respond to requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Gain Understanding of Consultant Needs: Identify and act as a resolution point for outstanding issues, ensuring consultants' servicing requirements are met.
  • Conduct Thorough Meeting Preparation: Research consultant firms in advance of each meeting, produce pre-meeting memos, coordinate and participate in prep calls with Portfolio Management teams and other key internal teams, and finalize meeting materials.
  • Coordinate Meeting Follow-Ups: Liaise with internal teams to ensure consultant needs are met, and coordinate all meeting follow-ups.
  • Partner with Internal Teams: Respond to Requests for Proposal/Information, Due Diligence Questionnaires, and Portal requests, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate Meetings and Conference Calls: Schedule meetings and conference calls with consultants as needed, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
  • Leverage Firm's Intellectual Capital: Proactively distribute collateral, such as white papers, conferences, and webinars, to maintain marketing interests and support consultant relationships.
  • Maintain Accurate Consultant Records: Partner with client service teams to ensure accurate consultant records are maintained in SalesForce.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Preferably in Finance, Economics, or Marketing, with an excellent academic record.
  • Track Record of Outstanding Performance: Demonstrate a history of achieving exceptional results and exceeding expectations.
  • 2-5 Years of Experience: In the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of the Institutional market, asset classes, and competitive landscape.
  • Results-Oriented Self-Starter: Ability to quickly understand client/consultant needs and focus on commercial delivery, with a passion for excellence and a drive to succeed.
  • Good Organizational Skills: Ability to manage own priorities, meet hard deadlines, and network with clients/consultants and internal partners.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with experience with Preqin and eVestment a plus.
