Job Overview

First Coast Pallet is in search of a dedicated Production & Quality Supervisor for our Pallet Repair Facility.

Compensation starts at $22/hr

POSITION SUMMARY

The Production & Quality Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of a team of approximately 15 employees, ensuring the quality assurance processes are effectively implemented and that receiving and shipping operations run smoothly within the pallet repair and sorting environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficient in computer applications including Email, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Experience in supervising and managing a workforce with minimal oversight
  • Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in a production setting
  • Experience collaborating with external contractors and delivery personnel
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems is advantageous
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential
  • Basic math skills are required
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervise facility staff to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
  • Engage with management and clients daily to align on objectives.
  • Ensure quality standards are met by conducting daily audits of sorting and repair processes.
  • Develop and manage work schedules for shipping and receiving operations.
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments to guarantee accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct daily audits of production and inventory levels, performing physical inventory checks as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, maintenance, and audits.
  • Regularly inspect the warehouse to assess operations, address issues, and provide support.
  • Offer recommendations to improve facility operations and maintenance to the Operations Site Manager.
  • Monitor equipment and facility conditions, reporting any wear or damage to management.
  • Utilize effective techniques in supervising and mentoring team members.
  • Assist in payroll verification and timekeeping processes.
  • Support the training of new associates.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety policies and maintain an organized warehouse environment, reporting hazards and promoting safe practices.
  • Comply with OSHA and other relevant standards.
  • Participate in planning and safety meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to manage stress and meet tight deadlines.
  • Capable of working in noisy environments with multiple distractions.
  • Flexibility to adjust priorities as needed.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are necessary.
  • Punctuality and a reliable attendance record are required.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Able to work in extreme temperatures and various environmental conditions.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods on hard surfaces.
  • Ability to frequently twist, stoop, squat, reach overhead, and crouch.
  • Regular physical exertion is required, including lifting heavy materials and equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds independently and 100+ pounds with assistance, using proper lifting techniques.

  • Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States is required.
  • Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
