POSITION SUMMARY

The selected candidate will oversee daily operations involving a team of approximately 15 employees, ensuring quality control and efficient logistics within the pallet repair and sorting environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficient in basic computer applications including Email, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Experience in supervising and managing a workforce independently
  • Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing context
  • Experience collaborating with external contractors and delivery personnel
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems is advantageous
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential
  • Basic mathematical skills are required
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervise facility staff to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workplace.
  • Engage with management and clients daily to align on objectives.
  • Ensure quality standards for pallets by conducting regular sorting and repair assessments.
  • Develop and manage schedules for shipping and receiving operations.
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments to guarantee accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor daily production and inventory levels, conducting physical counts as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, maintenance, and quality audits.
  • Regularly inspect the warehouse to assess operations, troubleshoot issues, and address inquiries.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance facility operations and maintenance.
  • Monitor equipment and facility conditions, reporting any concerns to management.
  • Utilize effective supervisory and coaching techniques with team members.
  • Assist in payroll verification and timekeeping processes.
  • Support the training of new associates.
  • Implement and demonstrate adherence to company safety policies, ensuring the workplace is organized and safe.
  • Comply with OSHA and other relevant standards.
  • Participate in planning and safety meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to manage stressful situations and meet tight deadlines.
  • Capable of working in a noisy environment with multiple distractions.
  • Flexibility to shift priorities as needed.

  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of materials, some of which may be heavy.
  • Regular lifting of 50+ pounds without assistance and up to 100 pounds with proper techniques.
