Position Summary

The Quality Control Packer is responsible for the meticulous inspection of finished plastic components and their subsequent packaging for distribution. This role involves sealing boxes, labeling, and organizing full boxes onto pallets. The position may also require machine operation and the training of junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection: Conduct regular assessments of the visual characteristics of each product, identifying issues such as discoloration, defects, and contamination.
  • Data Recording: Document any relevant information regarding product quality and personal performance as required by management.
  • Packaging: Efficiently transfer products from collection bins to shipping containers, ensuring accurate weighing and labeling using the SAP system, and prepare boxes for production.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and organization in the production and packing areas, including routine cleaning and spill management.
  • Machine Operation: Occasionally operate manual molding presses and perform secondary operations such as trimming and labeling.
  • Training: Provide guidance and training to new Quality Control Packer I employees.
  • Sorting and Reworking: Identify and rectify products that do not meet customer specifications, ensuring proper documentation of non-conformance.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster positive working relationships across departments to enhance teamwork.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate safety equipment as necessary.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in basic mathematics.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Strong color perception and manual dexterity.
  • Capability to lift up to 35 lbs safely.
  • Effective collaboration skills at all organizational levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a logical approach to tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with personal computers and software applications, including Microsoft Office and SAP.
