Lead Automation Quality Engineer

Position Overview:
As a Lead Automation Quality Engineer, you will be instrumental in advancing our software solutions, collaborating with a team of skilled IT and business professionals. This full-time position emphasizes automation leadership, the development of comprehensive testing frameworks, and the assurance of superior quality standards in our software offerings. The role involves minimal travel, allowing you to concentrate on delivering impactful results from our main office.

Completion of I-9, verifying US work authorization is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical guidance on automation protocols and quality assurance.
- Oversee and implement projects, including establishing frameworks, documenting standards, developing and maintaining testing evidence and automation scripts, and providing constructive feedback to development teams.
- Review quality specifications and technical design documents to offer timely and insightful feedback.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-organized testing documentation.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate automation efforts.
- Conduct various types of regression testing on release candidates.
- Analyze product and process specifications and procedures.
- Identify and propose significant enhancements to procedural workflows.
- Recommend modifications or advancements to existing processes, methods, and technologies to enhance product quality, safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform exploratory testing with an emphasis on identifying and documenting defects.
- Assist in formulating quality assurance standards and procedures.
- Identify, record, document, and monitor software defects.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., developers and analysts) to determine system requirements.
- Investigate the root causes of defects and document reproduction steps.
- Track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities, open defect counts, and defect trends.
- Understand product lifecycle concepts and engage in the test planning process.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, with a preference for 3+ years.
In-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Practical experience with both white box and black box testing.
Hands-on experience with C#, Selenium, and NUnit. Solid understanding of POM and scripting tools. Ability to manage the scope of demanding projects effectively.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

- Proficient in version control using Git and GitHub.
- Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Strong C# and POM expertise.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus.
- Analytical skills and intellectual curiosity.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
