Job Summary

SAC Health is seeking a highly skilled Credentialing Specialist to join our team. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our medical staff credentialing and privileging process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and process initial applications and reappointments for medical staff and providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately maintain credentialing and privileging database information, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of state, federal, and regulatory agencies' standards and guidelines.
  • Perform routine database queries to manage expired and current items, ensuring timely submissions to all departments, agencies, boards, and committees.
  • Liaise between health plans, physicians, and administration, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Work with physicians to schedule enrollment application processes, ensuring efficient and effective credentialing and privileging.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required; BA/BS degree preferred.
  • CPMSM or CPCS certification preferred.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in credentialing medical and ancillary staff required.
  • Essential technical/motor skills, including computer data input, finger dexterity, and keyboarding.
  • Interpersonal skills, including communication by phone, in person, and in writing with all levels of personnel, students, patients, interns, and residents.
  • Essential mental abilities, including working independently with little supervision, setting priorities, and accurately completing duties on time.
