Role Summary
The Bayview Hunters Point YMCA is in search of an Educational Credential Specialist to support programs aimed at youth development.

The Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting students in enhancing their academic and interpersonal skills through tutoring, mentorship, and guidance in the After School Program.

This position involves providing academic support in small groups or one-on-one settings, catering to groups of up to 20 students.

Successful candidates will collaborate closely with Program Site Coordinators and Directors, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, punctuality, and a commitment to the entire academic year.

Compensation
Salary range: $30-$40/hour

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 23 years old
- Valid teaching credential required
- Experience working with high school students
- Strong motivation to deliver quality programming
- Team-oriented mindset
- Knowledge of youth development principles
- Comfortable leading physical activities
- Availability during program hours, typically from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Willingness to engage in regular evaluations and meetings
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (can be obtained upon hire)
- Clearance from fingerprint background check
- TB Test clearance

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Bilingual abilities in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or other languages are highly valued
- Familiarity with high school-level subjects such as Math, Science, English, and History
- Connections within the local community

Additional Information
