About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead System Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a group of system engineers and ensuring that each team member has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform day-to-day management of a group of multi-disciplinary system engineers
  • Ensure that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement
  • Manage performance development and appraisal, salary planning, manpower planning, career coaching, and adherence to company policies
  • Contribute to the technical oversight of employees, monitor program execution, and provide radar system subject matter expertise in direct support of program efforts and proposal activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in empowering employees, leading and motivating teams, and fostering collaboration
  • Proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in EE, CE, Physics, Math, ME, Aerospace
  • Knowledge of radar systems
  • Prior experience in a functional or leadership role
  • Proven ability and strong desire to facilitate career growth and knowledge transfer
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision making skills
  • Proven track record of effectively interacting with subordinates, customers, and other organizations and disciplines
  • Existing DoD Security Clearance

The salary range for this role is $77,000 - $163,000. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
