Job Description

Job Title: Regional Production Specialist

Job Summary:

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Regional Production Specialist to join our Electrical team. This role is responsible for maximizing lab throughput and meeting client needs for timely and accurate completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize production opportunities through assessing project readiness and collaborating with other Regional Production Managers to leverage the network.
  • Set Promised Completion Dates (PCDs) and confirm expectations with clients.
  • Consistently communicate with clients, internal resources, and other key contacts to avoid major delays or unexpected production stoppage.
  • Work with operations managers and regional directors to ensure accurate lab and regional forecasts.
  • Schedule projects in logical steps and budget time required to meet customer deadlines.
  • Track and monitor project milestones and expenses to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Act as an escalation resource for clients or internal resources when key milestones or deliverables are at risk.
  • Project management and scheduling functions will involve a collective effort with directing and monitoring all end-to-end aspects of project planning and design, including scope management.
  • Compile data and reports, maintain project folders and files in accordance with Quality System requirements.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED, required; associate's degree, preferred.
  • Ability to learn new responsibilities and demonstrate appropriate progress in a new position.
  • Previous project scheduling experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
