About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Owner to join our team at Charles Schwab. As a Product Owner, you will play a critical role in envisioning and implementing our technology and production business platforms across the Multi-Asset Strategies business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Technology Operational Leadership: Provide business technology operational leadership in the main subject areas for the Multi-Asset Strategies business group, including identifying high-level business needs, defining platform capabilities, and prioritizing backlogs.
  • IT Project Governance and User Acceptance: Participate in meetings with key partners to oversee the roadmap of near- and long-term deliverables, validate and provide approval that user stories have been executed accurately against acceptance criteria.
  • Production Business Process Oversight: Define the operating workflow for bringing all data and production elements into production as functions are incrementally released, build the operations procedural playbook for each release to production, and implement these controls as each release is rolled out across the business teams.
  • Product Coordination and Support: Coordinate with VPs, SAM Technology and Vendor Management for critical production processes, work closely with CSIM business continuity team to plan for key investment management processes across all Multi-Asset Strategies business units.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in the asset management industry, knowledge of portfolio management and trading systems and practices required.
  • Experience collaborating with technology teams and business partners to implement Portfolio Management, Research and Trading solutions.
  • Experience with investment risk analytics – particularly multi-asset class models – and the use of such tools in the context of portfolio management decision making.
  • Experience representing data partners in the implementation of Portfolio Management, Research and Trading solutions.
  • Experience crafting and implementing investment processes, workflows and controls for managing Portfolio Management, Research and Trading processes.
  • Experience interacting effectively with senior team technology and business partners via meetings, presentations, and written reports.
  • A drive to maximize efficiency through exception-driven resolution processes.
