About the Role

The J. Paul Getty Trust, The is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Grants Administrator I to provide administrative support for the Grants Administration department. This is a three-month temporary position with an anticipated end date of December 12, 2024, working 10-12 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grants Management: Process high volumes of grant requests, including intake and application processing, basic eligibility review, and data updates.
  • Administrative Support: Assist in generating notifications and grant documents, scheduling grant reports and payment schedules, and e-filing of documentation.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Test the functionality of online forms and processes.
  • Departmental Support: Provide administrative support for the Grants Administration department.
  • Special Projects: Undertake special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of administrative experience in a non-profit organization, with grants administration experience preferred.
  • Skills: Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Grants Administration: Ability to apply legal, auditing, and foundation requirements to grants administration functions.
  • Database and Reporting: Aptitude for learning an analytical database and reporting functions.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of IRS and foundation-specific regulations.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and work efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate in teams across disciplines and build relationships.
