We are currently seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Burlington/Durham. As a full-time employee, you will receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Job Description:

  • Apply a working knowledge of nursing theories and concepts to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Responsible for documentation and care that meets reimbursement guidelines.
  • Coordinate physical care with patients, families, physicians, and the hospice team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients/families at all levels and with agency personnel.
  • Attend and participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings and quality reviews as scheduled.

Salary and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including 12 hours of continuing education annually and CPR certification. You will also be required to accept travel assignments based on agency need and participate in weekend/evening and holiday call duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure in your state of practice.
  • Successful completion of a nursing education from an approved school of nursing.
  • Two years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of home health and hospice care programs and the nurse's role within the patient care team.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of nursing according to the nursing practice act, agency policies, and procedures, and reimbursement guidelines.
