DARCARS Automotive Group is seeking a Sales Manager to lead our New and Used Sales Department. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling sales efforts, as well as measuring employee performance and providing guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast sales goals and objectives for the department.
  • Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
  • Attend managers' meetings and assist the Dealer in forecasting controllable expense elements.
  • Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting new and used vehicle sales.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of new and used sales employees.
  • Report all vehicles sold and direct salespeople to enhance the image and customer satisfaction ratings of the dealership.
  • Communicate with and mentor salespeople to ensure dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed.
  • Set sales and gross objectives for salespeople and guide them in setting their objectives on a short and long-range basis.
  • Review salespeople's performance and develop programs of improvement for those failing to reach their objectives.
  • Supervise salespeople to ensure they follow their owners on a planned contact basis and evaluate their quarterly gross performance.
  • Conduct a weekly sales meeting and maintain accurate sales records, both daily and monthly.
  • Insist that salespeople follow the company's prospecting program to obtain maximum results and comply with manufacturer's training for self and salespeople.
  • Recommend inventory to be carried by color, model, and equipment based on customer and market analyses.
  • Help salespeople close deals when necessary and confirm salespeople's appointments are in E-lead.
  • Maintain standards for the delivery of vehicles to customers.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the function of salespeople with the Service Dept., Parts Dept., and business office.
  • Assist the Dealer in developing advertising campaigns and other promotions.

Requirements:

  • Automotive sales experience is required.
  • 2 Years of experience working in sales management.
  • Experience managing groups and teams.
  • A mentality that no job is too small.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of the organization.
