Position Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Benefits and Wellness Specialist to enhance our Human Resources department. The successful candidate will take charge of crafting, executing, and overseeing our benefits and wellness programs aimed at bolstering our employees' physical, mental, and financial health. This position demands exceptional organizational capabilities, a service-oriented approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

The Benefits and Wellness Specialist will report directly to the HR Manager and is expected to work five days a week in the office.

Key Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive benefits offerings, including health insurance, retirement plans, and additional employee incentives.
  • Manage all facets of employee leave programs, such as FMLA, ADA, and both short-term and long-term disability, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, brokers, and insurance providers to facilitate the efficient administration of benefits programs.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and audits to assess the effectiveness of current benefits offerings and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Create and disseminate employee communications regarding benefits enrollment, modifications, and updates.
  • Act as the primary resource for employee inquiries related to benefits, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
  • Design, promote, and implement wellness initiatives and activities that encourage a healthy lifestyle and work-life balance.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate wellness events, workshops, and educational programs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in benefits and wellness programs, recommending necessary adjustments to maintain competitiveness and compliance.
  • Assist in the formulation and upkeep of HR policies, procedures, and documentation concerning benefits and wellness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in benefits management, wellness program administration, or a related HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits regulations and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred but not mandatory.
