As a vital member of the Banquet Culinary team, your expertise will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Your culinary skills, attention to detail, and passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes will significantly enhance the success of our renowned dining services.

Position: Banquet Culinary Specialist
In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of a diverse range of dishes for various banquet events. From breakfast meetings to elegant dinners and festive celebrations, you will ensure that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of dishes including appetizers, main courses, salads, and desserts, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Implement proper food handling and sanitation practices to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure efficient production and timely service.
  • Utilize various cooking techniques such as grilling, frying, sautéing, baking, and roasting to create flavorful dishes.
  • Adjust cooking methods based on ingredient freshness and guest preferences.
  • Execute menu items with precision, maintaining consistency in flavor, appearance, and portion size.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or excesses to management.
  • Taste and assess dishes for flavor, seasoning, and quality prior to serving.
  • Make necessary adjustments to uphold our culinary standards.
  • Coordinate cooking times with kitchen personnel to ensure seamless operations.
  • Engage in training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety.
  • Keep workstations organized and clean, following sanitation protocols.
  • Manage multiple orders simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality.
  • Assist in inventory management to minimize food waste.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Familiarity with a variety of cooking techniques and methods.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications are preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy pots, pans, and trays.
  • Comfortable working in a hot and dynamic kitchen environment.
