Position: Banquets Cook
In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of a diverse range of dishes for various banquet events. From early morning breakfasts to elegant dinners and special occasions, you will ensure that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of dishes including appetizers, main courses, salads, and desserts, following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain the highest quality of food.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow kitchen staff to ensure efficient production and timely service.
  • Employ various cooking techniques such as grilling, frying, sautéing, baking, and roasting to create flavorful dishes.
  • Adjust cooking methods based on ingredient quality and guest preferences.
  • Execute menu items with precision, ensuring consistency in flavor, appearance, and portion sizes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or excesses to management.
  • Taste and assess dishes for flavor, seasoning, and quality prior to serving.
  • Make necessary adjustments to uphold our culinary standards.
  • Coordinate cooking schedules with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in training and mentoring of junior kitchen team members.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety in the kitchen.
  • Keep workstations clean and organized, following proper sanitation protocols.
  • Manage multiple orders simultaneously, ensuring timely completion while maintaining quality.
  • Assist in inventory management to minimize food waste.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Familiarity with a range of cooking techniques and methods.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy pots, pans, and trays.
  • Comfortable working in a hot and dynamic kitchen environment.
