The primary responsibility involves supporting the dietary division in the preparation of meals for patients, staff, and visitors. Key duties encompass ordering supplies, planning menus, food preparation, cooking, inventory management, supervising kitchen staff, providing training and mentorship, ensuring sanitation standards, and executing general cleaning responsibilities.

  • Efficiently operates kitchen equipment while adhering to proper sanitary practices in food preparation, cooking, and baking.
  • Exhibits a strong commitment and takes personal accountability for the success of the Dietary Division and Willow Springs Center.
  • Models the expected behavior for dietary staff at Willow Springs Center.
  • Maintains cleanliness and functionality of all kitchen appliances, promptly reporting any malfunctions to the Manager or Lead for necessary repairs.
  • Works collaboratively with the Department Manager and Lead to acquire knowledge of menu items, meal preparation techniques, departmental organization, and staff safety protocols.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: At least one (1) year of relevant food service experience, particularly in bulk meal preparation.
