Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician Driver to join our team at Northstar Behavioral Health Network. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport clients to and from appointments, intake pickups, and discharge drop-offs in a safe and timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, adhering to regular cleaning schedules and reporting any defects or damage to the supervisor.
  • Inspect the vehicle daily and coordinate maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Check the transportation calendar daily and ensure all passengers are compliant, safe, and nonvolatile.
  • Manage company gas cards and receipts, ensuring a minimum of a half tank of gas by the end of each day.
  • Plan work tasks to coincide with programming requirements and prioritize monitoring clients, making house rounds, and documentation of pertinent information.
  • Be available to clients for questions and other assistance in a friendly, respectful, and dignified manner.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently with minimal direction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Successfully complete a background study.
  • Knowledge of 245G and Minnesota Statutes, sections 245A.04, 245A.65, and willingness to understand, learn, and carry out regulations with integrity.
  • CPR and 1st Aid certification or willingness to participate in courses provided by Northstar Behavioral Health Network.
  • Valid MN driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet research.
  • Physical ability to perform the responsibilities of the position, including bending, stooping, sitting, walking, and lifting at least 30 pounds.
