Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Northstar Behavioral Health Network. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals battling substance use disorders and other mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Monitor client activities and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Transport clients to and from appointments and activities.
  • Ensure client safety and well-being during transportation.
  • Plan and prioritize work tasks to meet programming requirements.
  • Document client information and complete other assignments as needed.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients in achieving their goals.
  • Participate in client recreational activities and provide a positive role model.
  • Assist counselors with intake and admission procedures.
  • Complete clerical assignments and assist with household duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Knowledge of MN Statutes related to providing services for individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and Google Suite programs.
