The Vice President of Commercial Strategy will play a pivotal role in steering the success of Biologics Consulting Group by focusing on several key areas:
1) Strategic Development & Expansion – The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the CEO, CFO, and the senior leadership team to formulate and execute strategic initiatives aimed at growth, which include:
a. Conducting comprehensive research to gain insights into the competitive landscape and positioning of our services and clientele.
b. Identifying opportunities in adjacent services and supporting the enhancement of current offerings to align with client needs.
c. Analyzing market dynamics and trends to uncover opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
d. Working with subject matter experts to stay informed about regulatory or payer policy changes that may affect the business and its clients.
e. Establishing Biologics Consulting Group as the preferred partner for our clients.
2) Revenue Generation & Sales – The incumbent will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive business development strategies aligned with corporate revenue objectives, including:
a. Crafting targeted outreach plans based on market positioning.
b. Engaging in high-level discussions with clients to illustrate how Biologics Consulting Group can enhance their clinical development initiatives.
c. Supporting lead generation and the conversion of opportunities into sales.
d. Participating in negotiations and deal structuring, including pricing and discount strategies.
e. Building and maintaining professional relationships through networking.
f. Leading commercial operations and sales processes.
g. Utilizing commercial analytics to identify trends and prioritize actions.
3) Marketing Oversight – The VP will oversee marketing efforts, providing leadership and direction for digital marketing campaigns, communication strategies, and thought leadership initiatives, as well as managing opportunities for external visibility.
4) Partnership Management – The role involves fostering and developing relationships with existing and potential partners to maximize revenue opportunities, including:
a. Collaborating with business unit leaders on key account planning and relationship management.
b. Managing vendor relationships to ensure a comprehensive service offering for clients.
5) Commercial Leadership – The VP will champion commercial best practices across the organization, promoting a culture of client service and enhancing the consultative sales skills of the team.
The Vice President of Commercial Strategy will be accountable for driving the organization towards achieving its sales targets, which are essential for revenue growth and profitability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A profound understanding of the pharmaceutical services sector and the product development lifecycle.
Experience engaging with biotechnology firms, device manufacturers, and large pharmaceutical companies regarding their service needs and portfolio requirements.
