Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Sage Hospitality. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, responding to their inquiries, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience.

Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a professional and courteous manner, providing accurate and timely information and services.
  • Check-in and Check-out: Complete established check-in procedures for arriving guests, using both manual and computerized methods, to ensure guests are satisfied and in rooms as requested.
  • Cash Handling: Regularly calculate and/or post monies, receipts, guest accounts, and other forms of credit using accurate, proper cash handling methods and established procedures.
  • Reservations and Inquiries: Courteously answer inquiries and accept reservations, both in person and by telephone, by accurately communicating hotel rates and information and by using suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights and increase occupancy.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain good customer relations by keeping abreast of all in-house and area functions to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses.
  • PBX Operations: Operate the PBX equipment by accepting incoming calls, assisting outgoing calls, scheduling and setting wake-up calls, and paging guests to provide guests with timely and efficient service.
  • Cash Control: Control cash transactions at the front desk and maintain complete responsibility for personal bank as specified by hotel bank agreement policy.
  • Team Player: Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times, working collaboratively with other team members to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: None required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Must have high school graduate level mathematical aptitude, know standard cash handling procedures, and knowledge of computerized cash register systems. Must be fluent in oral and written English and able to use tact and understanding when dealing with customer service problems.
