Position Summary

AZZ is pleased to announce an opening for a Financial Reporting Lead at our corporate headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas. In this pivotal role, reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Finance, you will be responsible for managing the organization's external financial reporting operations. This includes ensuring the timely and precise preparation and submission of financial documents to regulatory authorities, auditors, and other key stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on SEC reporting, consolidated financial statements, cash flow preparation, and adherence to financial disclosure mandates, while also supporting the earnings release process. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SEC reporting, you will play a vital role in upholding transparency, credibility, and compliance in our external reporting practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the company's external financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations, preparation of consolidated financial statements, and cash flow analysis.
  • Supervise the preparation, review, and submission of periodic SEC filings, including 10-Q and 10-K reports, guaranteeing accurate and timely disclosures.
  • Develop and enhance reporting processes and tools to facilitate the efficient creation and distribution of external financial reports.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather essential data for external reporting, ensuring high standards of data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Assist in the earnings release process by preparing and analyzing financial data and disclosures to support executive communications.
  • Continuously monitor changes in reporting requirements, implementing necessary updates to financial statements and disclosures.
  • Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders in external reporting methodologies, promoting a culture of compliance and best practices within the organization.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, data management, analytics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in public accounting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements, particularly GAAP standards and their application in external reporting.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%, which may include international travel.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is mandatory.
